Prof. Dr. Hasan Erdem
Prof. Dr. Hasan Erdem was born in 1976 in Hatay. He began his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1996. After graduating in 2002, he completed his specialization in the General Surgery Clinic at Istanbul Bezmialem Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital and became a General Surgery Specialist in 2008.
From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Hasan Erdem fulfilled his compulsory service at Elbistan State Hospital, after which he began working as Chief Assistant in General Surgery at Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital in the same year. There, he focused on Advanced Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery, serving until 2016.
In 2016, he left his position in the public sector and established his private clinic, Istanbul Obesity Clinic, in Istanbul, specializing in obesity and metabolic surgery procedures. He earned the title of Associate Professor in 2018 and Professor in 2024.
